The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, KF, today distributed 350 food baskets to students of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan School for Orphans in Burao, Somalia.
The move is in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
An official source at KF said that the food baskets include sugar, flour, rice and cooking oil. Taher Adam Bahanan, School Principle extended thanks and appreciation to the UAE's wise leadership for its continuous directives which are aimed at supporting the Somali people.
Confirming that sons of the late Sheikh Zayed have always provided assistance to the needy people across the world, he recalled the late Sheikh Zayed's charitable history and humanitarian approach which had reached everywhere.
On their part, the students, parents and teachers expressed their happiness for receiving aid, which came at the right time. They also wished the UAE further security and safety under its prudent leadership.
