The New Suez Canal will positively affect the economy in Egypt and the region and will give momentum to free trade, investment and development in several neighboring countries, Czech Ambassador in Veronika Kuchynova said.
In statements to MENA on Thursday, the ambassador hailed the Egyptian government for being courageous enough to launch this project despite the hard economic conditions it is suffering from.
She congratulated the Egyptian government for accomplishing the project in due time.
She noted that several European partners are planning to immediately launch investments within the framework of the Suez Canal development projects.
The Czech envoy said she is looking forward to representing her country during the inauguration of the canal on August 6.
