The Ministry of Finance (MoF) extended earlier today its "Workflow Management System" to smartphones, laptops and tablet computers, in addition to its Local Area Network (LAN).
Ebrahim M. Abul, MOF Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information, said that the move would allow greater flexibility and enhance productivity.
He added that the system automates most of the tasks and procedures pursued within the ministry, and allows monitoring the efficiency of execution and the compliance with quality standards.
He also highlighted the crucial role of the system in providing a modern work environment and enhancing both transparency and accountability.
Areas where the system is applied include, inter alia, state budget, treasury, projects’ financing, and financial and economic co-operation.
