A new report prepared by the Dallas – based Orbis Research Corporation in the State of Texas expected the Sultanate's construction sector would worth $20 billion in 2021 at an annual growth rate of 10 per cent.
The report released by News Makers Net at its website said that the Sultanate like other GCC States targets diversification of its economy. The report said that the Sultanate's construction sector 's value has rapidly increased from $4. 9 billion in 2013 to $5. 6 billion in 2015. The government investments in sectors such as the railway, environment , marine infrastructure and transport would revitalise the construction sector in the Sultanate, the report added.
