Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaffin, Director of the Contracts and Purchasing Department at Dubai Municipality, has said that the civic body views all its suppliers as important partners for the implementation of its national plan and permanent strategy to create a happy society and ensure wellbeing of the citizens, residents, visitors and tourists in the emirate.
He was speaking at the suppliers’ forum, organised by the Department for Suppliers of Public Health Items, Medicines and Sanitary Ware for the Clinic and Medical Services Section.
Welcoming the representatives of the establishments and the companies supplying products to the municipality, Al Zaffin pointed out that the meeting is an opportunity for all to discuss ways to develop a partnership between the two parties and make work easier.
Al Zaffin said that the municipality considers the happiness of its customers and suppliers, and without them, it cannot complete projects and achieve the desired development goals to bring about global change.
During the meeting, the municipality explained the development of the systems for online receipt and delivery of documents through its website. All the transactions are now carried out through the website within the fastest time possible, leading to a scientific methodology of work between the two parties. "There is no need for anyone to come to the office anymore. This has helped simplify work procedures and make suppliers happy," Al Zaffin stated.
The meeting was attended by a number of section heads from several departments in the municipality.
