Egypt seeks to step up trade cooperation with South American countries

Egyptian Ambassador to Uruguay Amr Mahmoud Abbas paid on Tuesday a visit to one of the biggest free zones in the South American country.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said the visit came as part of Egypt's efforts to boost the prospects of cooperation and exchange investment opportunities with the South American countries.
Coordination is underway to exchange official visits and establish investment projects between Egypt and Uruguay in the coming period, he added.
