Tehran - FNA

Iranian and Kuwait officials explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating bilateral ties in different areas.
Iranian Economy Minister Ali Tayyebnia and Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah in a meeting in Kuwait City on Thursday underlined the need for the further expansion of mutual cooperation, particularly in economic fields.
The Iranian economy minister pointed to the recent visit of the Kuwait Emir to Tehran, and said the visit left significant impacts on the expansion of mutual cooperation.
Tayyebnia called for implementation of the agreements already signed between the two countries.
He noted that Iran is ready to broaden economic cooperation with Kuwait and exchange views with the senior Kuwaiti officials on ways to enhance the level of ties on mutual interests.
"The Iranian government is keen on developing ties with the neighboring states and Kuwait, in particular, as there is no obstacle in the way of bolstering economic cooperation," he added.
Tayyebnia welcomed Kuwait's investment in Iran's tourism industry, and said, "Iran welcomes investments of Kuwait in other fields as well."
The Kuwaiti prime minister, for his part, voiced firm determination for the expansion of cooperation and the removal of the existing obstacles.
Iran and Kuwait have sought to expand bilateral ties through exchanging several high-ranking delegations in the last few years.
