The Kenyan Ambassador to Sudan, Mr. Abrown Suge has expressed his country's desire to benefit from the Sudan's experience in the field of oil industry.
During his meeting, Monday, with the Minister of Oil and Gas, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Osman Abdul-Rahman the Kenyan ambassador has discussed with the minister his country's desire to cooperate with Sudan in the oil and gas domain, the training of cadre and the construction of the oil facilities.
The Oil Minister has welcomed the desire of Kenya, indicating Sudan readiness to provide technical aid to the Kenyan oil sector.
The Kenyan ambassador who praised the relations between the two countries, stressed the need for cooperation with the Sudan in the different oil fields, including the training, pipe lines, and refineries, pointing out that delegations from the Kenyan Oil Ministry would arrive Sudan in the coming period to discuss ways of technical cooperation with their counterparts in Sudan Oil and Gas Ministry.
He noted good progress achieved in the field of refining and pipelines, explaining that Mombasa refinery is the main for refining oil in Kenya, in addition to the pipelines for the transport of production sites from north-west Kenya to the refinery.
The meeting was attended by the State Minister of Oil and Gas, Engineer Saadul-Deen Husein al-Bushra, and the Kenyan economic attaché in Khartoum.
