Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), one of the world’s leading aluminium smelters, received the 2014 Gold Occupational Health and Safety Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) on Wednesday.
The 2014 Gold RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Award was presented to Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray and Senior Manager for Safety, Health and Environment, Abdulla Yaqoob Senan after the announcement was made earlier in August 2014.
Commenting on winning the 2014 Gold RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Award, Alba’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Murray said:
"Alba values safety as an integral component of its operations. Over the years, we have maintained an excellent track record for promoting safety and health, and it is encouraging to see these efforts being recognised internationally. I thank our employees and the Alba Labour Union for their contribution towards fulfilling the organisational goals, and we will continue to focus on achieving greater safety performance in our company’s overall operations."
