VN-Index, the stock market index of Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City bourse in south Vietnam, closed at 572.34 points on Friday, up 0.74 points, or 0.13 percent, against the previous trading day's closing session.
About 122.410 million shares worth 2.435 trillion Vietnamese dong (VND) (111.49 million U.S. dollars) changed hands at the southern HCM City Stock Exchange. Prices of 116 stocks went up, 112 stocks fell down, while 58 stocks remained unchanged.
VN30-Index, the new benchmark index for the southern bourse, which tracks the 30 leading stocks by both market capitalization and liquidity, closed at 578.97 points, down 0.31 points, or 0.05 percent.
A total of 41.831 million shares worth 1.282 trillion VND (58.69 million U.S. dollars) were traded on Friday.
