The Ministry of Housing signed this morning a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Cooperation with the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) aimed to cooperate on training and development of human resources and boost the principle of exchanging expertise between the two sides. The Ministry of Housing was represented by its Undersecretary, H.E. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. BIPA was represented by its Executive Director, Dr. Raed Shams. The MoU included a number of items with focus on cooperation with BIPA in training the Ministry's staffs through specialized mutual training programs in various fields, the provision of consultation in public administration for requesting sides, the organizing of scientific seminars and mutual discussion sessions on topics of mutual interest. The agreement also included conducting research studies on the relevant topics in addition to exchanging expertise and advisors in various specializations to participate in activities which come under the jurisdiction of both sides. The Ministry of Housing's Undersecretary, Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, expressed his delight upon signing the MoU with the BIPA which has its own highly-qualified instructors and advisors. The Ministry seeks to accomplish maximum benefit from them in training ministry staffs in various specializations under the signed memorandum of understanding as part of the continual directives from the Minister of Housing regarding training ministry employees from various departments and sections and boosting qualifications and developing human resources in order to uplift the standard of administrative and technical work in the Ministry of Housing so as to provide optimum housing services to citizens.
