Iraqi government forces on Saturday announced the liberation of two zones in the right side of Mosul.
According to a security source, anti-terrorism special forces regained control over the Boursa I and II zones in Mosul's Western outskirts.
Al least 26 ISIS elements including 5 suicide bombers and a snipper were killed during clashes with Iraqi security forces, the source said, adding that others were arrested along with the confiscation of large quantities of arms and explosives which were stored inside secret tunnels.
In a relevant development, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced in a statement on Saturday that a F-16 Fighter jet which belongs to Iraqi air forces has conducted a successful air strike and destroyed a store of rockets, Car bombs, security centers, a communications center and a car bomb factory in the district of al-Khader on the right side of Mosul.
