The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi has announced that it will take part in the 36th Sharjah International Book Fair, SIBF, which is being held from 1st to 11th November at Sharjah Expo Centre, under the theme, ‘A World Inside My Book’.
The department's participation at SIBF will highlight Emirati national identity and heritage by showcasing its pioneering cultural projects, its authored and translated publications and the latest developments related to the 28th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, ADIBF.
The pavilion will feature a variety of the department’s prominent publications, including those from the Kalima Project, which translates the latest and most important titles from various languages ??into Arabic. It will also feature publications from the National Library, including ‘The Orient Pioneers’ series, as well as a set of specialised publications by local and Arab researchers and works translated from other languages ??on various subjects.
The department’s participation is part of ADIBF’s international communication and marketing programme, organised by the department, which is one of the largest and fastest-growing book fairs in the MENA region.
