Economic Community of Central African States, the guest of honor in the 23rd edition of the Casablanca International Book Fair, announced that their participation in the exhibition, is an opportunity to stand on the adopted cultural approaches, and to spread the local African cultures.
The director of Rwandan publishing house, Capo Jean de Dieu, stressed that Rwanda presents its culture in Morocco for the firt time, which is an opportunity to discover the reading culture in Rwanda, especially after Bangui recently has launched a campaign to encourage the youth to read for its important role in the development of peoples.
De Dieu stated, in an exclusive interview with Arabs Today, that they want to take advantage of the Moroccan expertise in this area to improve and enhance the level of culture in Rwanda, and to introduce their country at all levels.
He added that the visit of King Mohammed VI to Rwanda last year, and the visit of the Rwandan President Paul Kagame to Morocco, opened the door to opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries at all levels, stressing that the strength of the African countries lies in its union.
The Rwandan publisher expressed his pleasure after attending a number of seminars organized on the sidelines of the exhibition, which focused on the African culture, stressing the need to support the leading initiatives in this area to promote the African culture.
De Dieu stressed that the international Book Fair in Casablanca is a big project, and the Moroccan model inspires the African countries in the cultural field, pointing out that it is an opportunity to move the Moroccan expertise in supporting the the book to the concerned authorities in his country.
