Beirut - NNA

Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, represented by Culture Minister, Ghattas Khoury, inaugurated on Wednesday Beit Beirut Library in Sodeco in a ceremony called forth by the Municipality of Beirut and Inas Abou Ayyash Foundation.
Former Lebanese President, Amine Gemayel, Minister of State for Combating Corruption, Nicolas Tueni, State Minister for Women Affairs, Jean Ogassapian, MPs Ammar Houri, Ahmad Fatfat, Nadim Gemayel, Mohammad Kabbani, and other figures.
Minister Khoury said in his word that this building witnessed the civil war. "We should remember this war that caused despair, destruction, and death but we should forget it to look forward for hope, joy, initiatives and creativity."
"We are here on a demarcation line which used to divide Beirut and the rest of country in the past..."
Khoury said: "We will overcome our divisions and strengthen our unity, because our only guarantee is to continue this small miracle called Lebanon in a burning region."
The attendees also toured the library and inspected its different sections.
