Siemens has shown its commitment to continuously drive its agenda of bringing new technology to the Saudi market during the first “Data Center Day” held last Monday, where Siemens took pride in showcasing its unmatched and comprehensive data center portfolio to its customers. The event was jointly organized by Building Technologies and Energy Management divisions at Siemens.
Data centers have been around since the dawn of the first computer. Over the past few years, the market has witnessed a shift toward software- and services-led growth. The data center market is among the fastest-growing segments, and this trend represents a significant development opportunity for Saudi Arabia. Siemens provides the most comprehensive solutions for data centers, by combining innovative development and manufacturing expertise, with project management experience and know-how.
Samir Borkar, head of data center solutions and services at Siemens for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, said: “Data centers are the factories of the 21st century. They store the most valuable company possession: data. Experts at Siemens provide exceptional solutions to carefully manage the data center infrastructure for maximum uptime, reliability and efficiency, optimizing everything from data center management, automation and control, power distribution with Totally Integrated Power (TIP) to fire safety, security and services.”
Ahmad Farrakh Manzoor, head of Building Technologies division at Siemens, said: “Siemens understands the importance of cooling, fire safety, security and management in data centers. Our integrated building management solution along with enterprise security, fire safety and infrastructure management solutions help optimize energy consumption and reducing downtime risks, safeguarding your business.”
“The medium- and low-voltage portfolio from Siemens has been specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements in data centers, providing data centers with tailored, reliable and consistent end-to-end power distribution solutions,” said Wolf-Roland Fischer, head of Energy Management division at Siemens.
The event also had Urs Iten, head of global portfolio management for data centers; Monir Kabiri, head of enterprise security Middle East and Asia; and Aslam Jameel, head of systems and solution sales; among its distinguished speakers.
Customers from several organizations attended the event and engaged in fruitful discussions with the experts.
Borkar added: “Siemens is fully in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Our activities contribute to high-tech development in the Kingdom, keeping in mind the energy efficiency and environmental aspects.”
