Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance and President of Zayed University, has said that the teacher plays an essential role in consolidating the values of tolerance, brotherhood, coexistence and peace.
On the occasion of the World Teachers' Day, which falls on the 5th of October each year, Sheikha Lubna said that the UAE attaches great importance to education under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
She added that the teacher is a fundamental pillar in the education system and holds the responsibility of educating the generations, pushing students to scientific research and reading in the materials they study in order to enrich the information and expand their knowledge.
In this regard, Sheikha Lubna commended the "Teachers Tolerance Charter" as one of the creative initiatives between the Ministry of Education and the National Programme for Tolerance, which comes to support the educational process and achieve the national agenda 2021.
