Former Spice Girl Mel B’s estranged husband and film producer Stephen Belafonte’s home in Los Angeles was searched by federal agents.
Belafonte’s home was investigated on March 31, reports TMZ.
A video featured Belafonte when he met agents from the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms as he returned to his Hollywood Hills home.
Mel B and Belafonte are currently in the midst of a divorce after 10 years of marriage.
In the footage, Belafonte is filmed being patted down by officers before they make way into his residence, as the agents were “looking for firearms”.
“What’s your name?” an officer asked, with Belafonte replying: “Stephen, Stephen Belafonte”.
“Come over here. You’re not carrying any weapons, are you?” one of the officers asked.
Belafonte replied: “No, nothing.”
“Put your hands behind your back — I’m just going to hold them so they don’t drop,” the officer said.
After patting Belafonte down, they then lead him into the property, before emerging a while later and heading off without taking the producer into custody.
While leaving the venue, Belafonte said to the camera man, who was filming him, that he has “no idea” why his house was searched, TMZ reported.
