The Cabinet Affairs Minister, Ahmed Saad Omer, received in his office Sunday the Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) to Sudan, Dr. Naeema Hassan, and discussed activities and programs of the organization in Sudan and its support to the hospitals in Darfur states as well as its provision to free of charge services to the affected people and displaced citizens in the region, the training of cadres and implementation of therapeutic strategies and protocols.
The meeting has underscored the importance of integrating efforts between the health sector in Sudan and the organization toward enhancing the level of services in the country.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet Affairs Minister has lauded the role or WHO in securing a healthy world and leading the world for achieving progress and the Developmental Millennium Goals.
He referred to the humanitarian role of WHO in confronting the natural disasters and providing emergency services, besides extending medical services to Sudan.
