His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received a cable of congratulations from the Minister of Health, Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, on the Health Ministry’s winning the United Nations Inter-Agency Task Force Award.
The minister extended deepest congratulations to HRH the Prime Minister on the prestigious award granted to Bahrain’s Health Ministry in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the achievement of sustainable development goals related to non-communicable diseases.
She asserted that the outstanding achievement, the first of its kind in the first Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Arab world, is a source of pride for Bahrain, and is the fruitful outcome of the Prime Minister’s support for the health services system in the kingdom, noting that it adds to the series of international accomplishments made by Bahrain well-deservedly in diverse fields.
The prestigious award is a global recognition of the health system in Bahrain, she added, noting that the award embodies Bahrain’s commitment to implementing the best health standards, and interest in providing sustainable high-quality health services to the citizens and residents, as part of its efforts to maintain its high levels in the fields of heath care and human development, as well as in achieving sustainable development goals.
The minister extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his unwavering support for the health sector and medical competencies in the kingdom, wishing him further success in bringing about more achievements for the kingdom and its people during the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
