Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman, one of the initiatives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has signed contracts with a number of insurance companies accredited in the country to cover the health care of insurance card holders issued by licensed companies in the country.
Erik Wassberg, Executive Director of SKMCA, said that he has contracted with insurance companies in order to help patients to obtain medical services provided in the SKMCA easily and without any financial obstacles which are preventing some patients from receiving benefits from the excellent services provided by SKMCA.
He said that the Medical City has now begun to receive patients who are holders of insurance cards approved in the UAE, including the National Health Insurance Company, Daman, taking into account the range of services and categories, and companies' policies regarding the costs of treatment covered.
SKMCA is currently negotiating with a number of insurance companies for accreditation in health care coverage, a step in facilitating all categories to gain access to the medical services provided by SKMCA in the Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital, Sheikh Khalifa Women and Children Hospital, Rashid Centre for Diabetes and Research, and Sheikh Khalifa Masfoot Hospital.
