Secretary of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee Saeb Erekat called on the international community to take action against the Israeli occupation forces for violating the rights of Palestinians.
Erekat, in a message to all diplomatic missions in Palestine, urged holding accountable Israeli forces for their repeated violation of Palestinian rights in order to save chances for reaching a political solution based on the two-state solution.
He urged UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to follow up the implementation of Security Council Resolution (2334) and take measures to stop the systematic annexation of Palestinian lands into Israel.
Speaking about illegal Israeli activities, he unveiled 56 plans to build 4,909 settlements between January and August 2017.
Erekat also spoke about the continued demolition of Palestinian houses, destruction of their properties and forced evacuation of Palestinian families.
