Local sources in the province of Dhamar in central Yemen announced the kidnapping of 40 researchers of the Social Fund for Development by Houthi and Saleh militants, in the province. According to local sources, the militants of Houthi group arrested 20 cars carrying 40 researchers in the Directorate of Huda, during their visit to conduct studies of development projects and service in the directorate.

The sources pointed out that Houthis militants deposited the researchers in Zraja prison, in Huda directorate. The sources pointed out that Houthis kidnapped the researchers on the pretext that they are agents working with western organizations.

Houthi gunmen killed a security officer in front of his family in Muawiya area in Taiz, which controlled by Houthis. Local sources confirmed that a group of Houthi gunmen led by a person named Abadi killed security assistant Omar al-Sayadi in the area of al-Rawda, in Taiz province. "After the victim Omar al-Siddi, refused to take away his weapon, gunmen shoot him and killed him in front of members of his family," the sources added.

In the province of Al-Bayda Yemeni, local sources announced that violent clashes are taking place, since Sunday morning, in Dhi Na'im District, between Houthi forces against members of the Popular Resistance. According to the sources, the Houthi group is heavily shelling mortars on the homes and interests of citizens in Dhi Na'im District.

Meanwhile, clashes are renewed almost daily in most districts of the province of Al-Bayda from time to time. Government forces in Yemen have launched a naval operation to clear mines laid by Houthis in several maritime areas. They are used in old-fashioned submarines, but their danger extends to fishermen and islanders near Midi, as well as threating the international navigation in Bab al-Mandab.

Sources said that the naval operation in Midi frontier,  north-west of the province of Hajjah, aims to comb the coasts of Midi South-West and its islands. According to the command of the operation, armed militia movements were spotted on the opposite coasts of Abes, south of Midi, and were dealt with by Arab coalition planes through bombing them.

The commander of the operation confirmed that they had discovered a number of marine mines. "The area was cordoned off, the location of the mines was marked and the danger signs were set aside to guide the fishermen away from them as dangerous areas," he said. He explained that these mines are the type of interceptor mines used by Iranians by the old submarines working to help the militias.
