The increasing incidents of killing, assassination and robbery in the cities of Saudan's Darfur state pose serous threat against the citizens and stabilty of the area, as a number of those people who commit such crimes are known of their loyalty to the Sudanese government.

Fasher city, the capital of North Darfur state, tops the list of cities which witnessed killing incidents during the last week, as a number of citizens have been killed, including a military officer during an attack executed by the gang of Eissa Mohamed Ibrahim known as Eissa Al Massih.

The incident came after the killing of a leading member of the ruling Conference Party called Abu Baker Ali Ibrahim assassinated in the centre of the city. Three days before these incidents, a number of citizens were killed and stolen.

The incidents of killing and assassinations became a serious challenge facing Khartoum's government despite the measures taken to contain the phenomenon by the security authority, including raising the state of emergency and banning the use of cars and motorcycles with no plates.

The major question which is raised inside the ruling circle revolves over the identity of those who stand behind such incidents to destabilize the security situation in Darfur despite the governmental declaration that the war is over in the region.

Sudanese parliamentarian Seham Hasab Allah described the phenomenon as a systematic work, saying that the criminals are citizens who obtained guns to protect themselves. She added that the phenomenon emerged since the signing of Abouja agreement.

She stressed that they adopt a strategy to collect the weapons, praising the governmental efforts to restore the cars smuggled to Libya. She called for serious measures to restore the smuggled weapons during the coming period to reassure the citizens.

She expected that those criminals are thieves who drafted a roadmap for their armed work inside their cities under the sponsorship of Darfur's governors.
