He currently holds intensive consultation with politicians from different Libyan cities to draft a roadmap for the coming phase.

According to sources, the initiative will include demands to cease fire in the Libyan cities and to form a new miniature government and a military council led by Marshal Khalifa Haftar in cooperation with other military leaders.

Sarraj will also propose early parliamentary elections to pave the way for the formation of a new government and to form a committee to draft a new constitution. The sources revealed that Sarraj’s initiative gained the support of Algeria, Tunisia, Turkey and Egypt.

Sarraj is scheduled to hold a visit to Russia during the coming days in an attempt to convince the Russian government to pressure Marshal Haftar to accept the initiative.
