Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al Bashir said that the national dialogues aimed to achieve accordance over a permanent constitution for the country after 61 years of independence and to achieve inclusive solution ending the war witnessed in the country for years to pave the way for achieving security and stability during the coming period.
He added that he chose Vice President Bakry Hassan Saleh to take the position of the country’s prime minister due to his efficiency and prior knowledge of the state institutions, stressing that his ruling National Conference Party will make the biggest concessions during the formation of the new national accordance government.
He added that the door has not been closed before any party aspiring to join the national dialogue, announcing the end of the wars era in the country to pave the way for a new phase of unification. He stressed that the new government will witness the participation of different political parties and social components.
He pointed out that the national accordance government is not a cake in which the different parties will find a quota, saying the number of ministries is slightly more 30, while over 90 political parties participated in the national dialogue. However, he added, the different parties will participate in the different governmental levels.
He continued, “The choice of Saleh to be the new prime minister came upon clear standards, including his responsibility for the execution of reform program. He is qualified to lead the country during the coming period and execute the recommendations of the national dialogue.”
He stressed that the new prime minister will not form the government individually, while he will hold consultations with the different parties, saying that the government will form a number of commissions during the coming period, including the electoral commission and a council of political parties that will enjoy its independence and neutrality.
