Syrian governmental troops bombarded areas in Zakat village of Hama’s northern countryside on Monday, as they launched shells towards a number of other villages in the same area. Sources revealed that the attacks led to increasing material damages with no information about humanitarian losses.
The clashes renewed after midnight of Sunday – Monday, between the regime forces and gunmen loyal to them on one hand, and the Islamic factions and Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham on the other, in the area of Al-Dahr Al-Aswad in the south-west of Rif Dimashq, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties.
Clashes took place after midnight of Sunday – Monday, between the Syria Democratic Forces on one hand, and the factions of the Turkey- supported “Euphrates Wrath” Operation on the other, in the area of Al-Hamran village in the south-west of Al-Ghandoura town in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, and information about casualties in the ranks of both parties, while the regime forces opened their machine guns on areas of Hayyan town in the northern countryside of Aleppo, resulting in material damage.
The area of Kou’ Hadr in the countryside of Al-Suwaidaa witnessed an exchange of fire between the National Defense Forces on one hand, and gunmen on the other, without causing casualties, while the Islamic and rebel factions shelled positions of the regime forces in the countryside of Al-Suwaidaa after midnight of Sunday.
The attack is considered a new violation of the truce of the south of Syria was documented, since it was put in effect on the 9th of July 2017 in the provinces of Al-Quneitra, Daraa and Al-Suwaidaa with an American – Jordanian – Russian agreement.
An informed source revealed that Syrian rebels shelled military headquarters and locations of the Syrian Democratic Forces in the area of Afrin, north of Aleppo, Qasioun News reported. Lately, Syrian rebels launched an attack on the Syrian Democratic Force’s locations in Ayn Dakna Town, near Menagh Military Airbase, and arrested a member of Hezbollah militia.
Fierce clashes ripped through the northern Syrian city of Raqqa as the US-backed forces stormed several districts of the Islamic State heartland. The battles intensify while tens of thousands of civilians remain trapped inside the battlefield city.
ISIS (also known as ISIL or simply IS) have planted landmines along the frontlines in order to prevent civilians from fleeing the city. Several civilians have been killed when the landmines exploded while attempting to escape. Meanwhile, scores of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces fighters have been killed and injured when an ISIS suicide bomber blew up his vehicle amid a gathering of the Kurdish forces inside the city.
A group of fighters from Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham have defected to another Islamist faction in the East Ghouta region of Damascus, local opposition activists reported on social media today. The members of Ahrar Al-Sham allegedly defected to Faylaq Al-Rahman, a group that is allied with Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham in the East Ghouta. The opposition activists claimed that the Ahrar Al-Sham defectors belonged to an anti-armored regiment that was stationed in the town of Irbeen.
