His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa returned to Bahrain today following two official visits to Malaysia and Brunei, at the invitation of HM King Sultan Muhammad V of Malaysia and HM Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei. HM the King also paid a key visit to the Kingdom of Thailand.
During the visits, HM the King held key talks on bolstering strong bilateral relations and expanding economic, trade and investment cooperation in all fields.
HM the King was received on arrival in Bahrain by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, Malaysian Ambassador and Brunei Embassy Charge d’ Affaires to Bahrain.
HM the King was earlier seen off in Thailand by Thai King’s advisor Jaranthada Karnasuta, Commerce Minister Apiradi Tantraporn and Bahrain Ambassador to Bangkok Adel Sater.
The King sent a letter to Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha thanking him for the warm welcome and genuine hospitality.
He commended the talks he had held with the Thai Premier which, he said, would bolster bilateral relations, wishing him abundant health and happiness and his friendly country and people further progress and prosperity.
