President Abdel Fattah El Sisi
Cairo - MENA

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Wednesday said that current development achievements will be inscribed in the annals of history.

In a statement at the inauguration ceremony of the New Administrative Capital, Sisi added that achievements in the new cities are not attained at the expense of sustainable development projects in other cities.

President Sisi explained that the government's planning does not stop at the new capital; rather it covers all new cities.
The president indicated that Egypt's population hit now around 100 million and should the pace of slums areas increases, major problems in the infrastructure, water and electricity sectors will ensue.

Thus, the new cities are to serve sustainable development to cope with the growth of the population, he explained.

The president asserted that all development projects the government is implementing are urgent.

Egypt is taking its first steps for building a modern State that is respected by all world countries, he said, adding that Egypt has the right to have modern cities like the new administrative capital.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi added that the project of the new administrative capital is not implemented at the expense of other projects that are carried out by the government.

The president asserted that he is pleased with any criticism that is objective and helps overcome current challenges facing the Egyptian State.

"With the providence of Allah, we are building a respectable State", said the president, adding that the coming generations will be proud of the magnitude of planning and implementation of these projects.
