Algerian parliamentarian Asma Marwani said that she works seriously to defend the interests of the Algerian people to meet the aspirations of those people who voted for her during the recent parliamentary elections held on May 4.
She added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that her desire to work in politics comes in the light of the advantages provided to the Algerian woman in the era of Algeria’s President Abdel Aziz Boutaflika. She added that she decided to run for the parliamentary elections to represent National Democratic Rally headed by Algerian politician Ahmed Oyahia.
She stressed that she took her decision to run for Algerian parliamentary elections to meet the demands of Algerian people and especially the women. She added that she will use her position as a member of Algerian parliament to defend the rights of Algerian people. She stressed that she realizes the suffering of Algerian young people since her graduation from the university.
She stressed the need for finding serious solution for the problem of unemployment during the current period, stressing the need for creating job opportunities for the young people not to allow the extremist groups polarize them.
