Jordan's State Security Court has sentenced the killer of writer Nahed Hattar to death.
The verdict was reached earlier Tuesday, said deputy general of the court Zeyad al Adwan.
The court also sentenced the second defendant, who had sold the weapon to the killer, to one year in prison, Adwan told Petra News.
A deal broker also got a one-year term, he added.
The killer was convicted of conducting terror acts that led to the death of a person, fomenting tension, premeditated murder and possessing an unlicensed firearm.
Hattar was shot dead on September 25 and the perpetrator was immediately arrested.
