Saudi Press Agency (SPA) has reported Haj rituals via its social media accounts and website in six languages - Arabic, English, French, Persian, Russian and Chinese - under a major media plan to achieve an excellent coverage.
Since the start of its media coverage plan for this year's Haj season two months ago, the agency has published 1,700 reports and 3,330 photos, in addition to hundreds of photo messages on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube).
“A Haj information plan has been implemented through 14 offices in Saudi Arabia, in addition to its offices in Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Britain and the United States of America, supported by more than 20 correspondents in most continents”, said SPA President .
The agency has also equipped an integrated team working in Makkah and the holy places (Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah), consisting of 70 editors, photographers and technicians who daily cover the pilgrims' performance of the fifth pillar of Islam.
Al-Hussain paid tribute to the security forces for their dedicated efforts to facilitate the work and movement of the media team as per Haj updated news and data.
"All news items can be viewed on SPA website (www.spa.gov.sa)," he said, adding that SPA provides free news services to all local and foreign media.
