The CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Khodeir met on Sunday with the Chinese Minister Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs in Egypt Han Bing and representatives of Chinese companies working in Egypt.

GAFI has started a string of periodical meetings with Chinese investors to detect the difficulties they face, find solutions and offer more investment Incentives in the strategic sectros.

Hailing GAFI's initiative to open communication channels with investors, Han said joint investment cooperation is promising.

For his part, Khodeir highlighted the GAFI's role in supporting investors, welcoming the Chinese companies to invest in the domestic market.

China ranks the 21st on the list of foreign countries investing in Egypt, with a total capital worth 587.12 million dollars put into 1299 companies in the fields of industry, services, construction, telecommunications, information technology, agriculture and tourism.
