Interior Minister receives UK ambassador

Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today the British Ambassador, Simon Martin.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Interior Minister, Shaikh Talal bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, and Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan.
The Interior Minister hailed security cooperation and mutual trust between the two countries, expressing appreciation to the United Kingdom for classifying outlawed Bahraini groups as terrorist organisations.
He said that this proactive counter-terrorism terrorism initiative by the UK parliament as proposed by the UK Interior Ministry reflects the keenness of the international community to fight all form of terrorism. It could promote the implementation of similar steps against terrorist organisations and groups that harm Bahrain’s security and stability as part of international counter-terrorism efforts.
The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and topics of common interest.
