Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan
Cairo - Arab Today

Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan met Wednesday with his UAE counterpart Saqr Ghabash to discuss conditions of Egyptian workers in the Gulf country.

The meeting took up efforts to solve problems between Egyptian workers and their employers in the UAE, a statement by the Manpower Ministry said.

Ghabash told Saafan that three decisions had recently been made in the UAE with the aim to better manage the relationship between the employers and employees.

They also discussed a new system to electronically connect the two ministries here and in Abu Dhabi, the statement said.

The system should help provide information about the labor market in the UAE, it added.
