The Cairo Court
Cairo - MENA

The Cairo Court of Appeal on Tuesday set November 6, for resuming the retrial of 22 leaders of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group including ousted president Mohamed Morsi and its general guide Mohamed Badei.

The defendants will be stand trial at the Cairo Criminal Court over charges of sabotage with foreign organizations and leaking national security secrets along with coordinating with armed violent groups inside and outside Egypt to prepare for terrorist operations inside Egypt.

The court's decision was taken in light of rejecting to recuse the court panel.

The Cairo Criminal Court had sentenced in June 2015 three of the defendants to death while the other defendants were handed down different terms in jail.

Investigations had revealed that the international organization of the Brotherhood carried out acts of violence inside Egypt with a view to destabilizing the country.

It has also prepared a plot for establishing an alliance between the Brotherhood leaders inside Egypt and some foreign organizations, namely; Palestinian Hamas movement along with the Lebanese Hezbollah group, which is closely associated with the Iranian revolutionary guard and Takfiri groups who smuggle weapons into the country via the western borders.
