A coordination meeting between Arab League (AL) permanent delegates and ambassadors of the European Union (EU) Political and Security Committee (PSC) was held here Monday at the AL general secretariat headquarters to probe issues of mutual concerned.
Attending the meeting were Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit, Head of EU Political and Security Committee (PSC) Walter Stephens along with Tunisia's permanent representative to Arab League Nageb al Munif whose country is the president of the current AL session.
The meeting tackled a set of regional and international issues topped by the peace process in the Middle East as well as the situation in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
Besides discussing terrorism and immigration, the two sides tackled the latest developments in Iraq.
The meeting aimed at coordinating preparations for holding the fifth meeting of AL permanent representatives and PSC ambassadors, slated for November 30 at the AL headquarter, ambassador al Munif said.
He added that the sides agreed on inter-Arab coordination to handle files on the agenda of the meeting.
Ongoing preparations for the forth session of the Arab and European foreign ministers meeting, due to be held on December 20 in the presence of AL chief and EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini, were probed during Monday's meeting.
