Ambassador of Yemen Mohammad Motahar Alashabi called on National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. (Retd) Nasser Khan Janjua here on Tuesday and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and security situation.
The ambassador briefed the NSA on the latest security situation in Yemen and thanked Pakistan for support to the people of Yemen besides expressing desire for more scholarships for Yemeni students, according to a press release issued here.
The NSA expressed deep sympathies on behalf of people of Pakistan on sufferings of Yemeni people and said Pakistan wanted peaceful resolution of the conflict in Yemen under the UN process and GCC deal and also in line with the resolution by the parliament of Pakistan.
Both sides decided to continue to work together for improving the bilateral relationship.
