Chief Justice Arief Hidayat has been reelected to lead the countrys Constitutional Court for the next period until 2020 through a plenary meeting of the nine judges of the court here on Friday.
"Deliberation decided to entrust me to continues the leadership," Arief said at a new conference after the conclusion of the election.
He said he hope the people could help him in carrying out his duty as constitutional court justice.
The process of election for a new chairman of the constitutional court began from 08.00 to last until 11.15 local time. The election was held at a meeting behind closed door of the nine judges.
"The process took three hours in a deliberation . Therefore, there was no voting as in the previous elections," Arief said.
Arief has led the constitutional court since 2015 and he would enter the retirement age in 2018 .(*)
