Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held on Thursday a meeting with members of the Japanese-Egyptian Parliamentary Friendship Association, under Yuriko Koike.
They discussed the latest developments in Egypt, atop of which is the underway parliamentary election.
Shoukry stressed that Egypt's parliamentary polls were held in an atmosphere of transparency and impartiality under the supervision of various local and international NGOs, Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
The upcoming parliament will play a vital role in ratifying a number of laws that will help improve the climate of investment in Egypt, Shoukry said.
He also spoke of Egypt's vision to face Daesh terrorist group and efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to overcome obstacles facing foreign investors in Egypt.
Yuriko urged forming the Egyptian side to the Japanese-Egyptian Parliamentary Friendship Association ahead of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's scheduled visit to her country next year.
