German intelligence agencies have recently started following up suspicious activities for the Muslim Brotherhood group in the eastern states of Germany which have been part of the former Eastern Germany.
In statements to MENA, Egyptian Ambassador in Berlin Badr Abdel Attei said the German intelligence bodies have detected funds for building mosques in the eastern sector of Germany where there are not any Muslim population.
The ambassador pointed out that recent security reports have warned of the increasing role of the banned Muslim Brotherhood group, noting that the German side is fully convinced that all extremist thoughts are emanating from the MB activities in such sector of Germany.
The ambassador also noted that such development has emerged following the announcement of terrorist groups such as "Hasm" of carrying out terrorist attacks, presenting an evidence on the group's links with terrorism and violence.
