Damascus - Arab Today

Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad stressed that the Gulf states’ collusion with the Israeli entity, their conspiracy against the Palestinian Cause and their attempts to weaken Syria encouraged the current U.S. Administration to take its decision on moving its Embassy to Jerusalem.

Mikdad made his remarks in a press statement on the sidelines of publishing a new edition of Maraya Magazine on the late Ayatollah Khomeini.

He added that the U.S. Administration’s decision was not surprising as the successive administrations had hidden intentions to make such a move benefiting from current conditions in the region.

Mikdad noted that the attitudes and atmospheres that surrounded the U.S. decision unveil the weakness of Arab and Islamic Nations as well as the anti-domination movements across the world.

He stressed that “the decision of Jerusalem is ours and those who oppose the Zionist domination in the region. We are the ones who write history. The Israeli occupation entity and its supporters will find that they do not have a future in the region, particularly after the full eradication of their allies including terrorists and mercenaries
