Kuwait Ambassador to Canada Ali Al-Sammak affirmed Tuesday the importance of boosting Arab-Canadian ties in all areas, particularly in education and culture. The Kuwaiti diplomat, also the Dean of Diplomatic Corps in Canada, made his remarks on the sidelines of the Arab Day festival, which has been organized by the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Canada at the University of Ottawa.
He commended, in a statement, the efforts exerted by Arab ambassadors in Ottawa in shedding light on Arab culture, bringing Arab-Canadian relations closer, and boosting cooperation relations. Meanwhile, the Arab Day festival hosted an exhibition displaying musical segments from different Arab countries, in addition to popular folklore dances, and various handcrafts and paintings.
The Kuwaiti cultural office, represented by the National Union of Kuwait Students-Canada branch (NUKS-Canada), took part in the festival, displaying books, culture-related pamphlets, and photos of Kuwait in the past and present that reflected cultural and civilized aspects of the country
