Members of the High Organising Committee of the Bahrain International Aviation Show (BIAS 2016), led by the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Deputy Chairman of the panel Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed participated in Russia's enormous International Aviation and Space Show (MAKS), held in Zhukovsky district from August 25 to 29.
The delegation’s participation in such a prestigious international aerospace show, MAKS 2015, is the fruitful outcome of the visits of HM the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to Russia.
It is also within the on-going preparations for the fourth edition of the Bahrain International Aviation Show, set to be held at Al-Sakhir Airbase from January 21 to 23, 2016, under the auspices of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supervision of HM the King’s Personal Representative and Chairman of BIAS High Organising Committee Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The delegation signed agreements with a number of giant Russian aviation and defence industry companies to participate in BIAS 2016. The companies include United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Rostec, Rosoboronexport and Ilyushin Finance Company.
Transportation and Telecommunications Minister expressed delight at attending MAKS 2015 as a guest of the Rostec company, lauding the massive participation of Russian companies in the show.
He affirmed Bahrain’s constant keenness on enhancing the ever-progressing solid relations with Russia to boost Bahrain’s economy, as well as those of GCC countries and Russia.
He praised Russia’s unprecedented and massive participation in BIAS 2016.
