Islamabad summoned US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale over a recent drone strike on the country's territory, Sputnik quoted Pakistani Foreign Ministry as saying.
On Saturday, Washington carried out the drone strike killing Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Mansour near a remote southwestern Pakistani town near the Afghanistan's border.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif slammed the strike as a violation of the country's sovereignty.
The foreign ministry stressed that Pakistan and the United States had been closely coordinating the anti-terrorist fight and the coordination had to be further maintained.
