His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa hailed strong relations of friendship binding Bahrain and Thailand. Receiving outgoing Thai Ambassador to Bahrain Chayapan Bamrungphong at Gudaibiya Palace, HRH the Premier lauded joint cooperation in all fields. "Bahraini-Thai exemplary ties have become a model for interstate relations based on mutual respect and shared interests", he said, hailing the role of Thailand in developing Gulf – Asian cooperation.
The outgoing ambassador conveyed to HRH the Premier appreciation from the Thai Premier and Government for his far-sighted vision which earned international recognition and contributed to Bahrain’s success strides. The crucial role of HRH the Premier in strengthening cooperation between the Arabian Gulf and Asia and the establishment of a true economic development partnership was also hailed.
HRH the Premier commended the role of the outgoing ambassador in supporting joint cooperation and wished him success in his upcoming duties. The Thai diplomat paid tribute to HRH the Premier for his pioneering role in promoting Bahraini-Thai relations and consolidating Arabian Gulf-Asian ties. He commended the Government, chaired by HRH the Premier, for its support during his diplomatic tenure and support to joint relations of friendship.
