The visiting President of Mauritania, Mohammad Wald Abdul Aziz, on Monday reviewed with the First Vice President of the Republic, Lt Gen Bakri Hassan Salih, bilateral relations between the Sudan and Mauritania as well as means for boosting them further in the various domains.

In a statement following the meeting which took place in Kornithia Hotel in Khartoum, the Director of the Arab Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the First Vice President briefed the visiting Mauritanian president on the latest developments on the Sudanese arena including the National Dialogue and the formation of the National Accord government.

He said Bakri Hassan also briefed the visiting Head of State on the most recent political and economic developments in the Sudan as well as relations between Sudan and its Arab and African neighbors.

Ambassador Ahmed Yusuf Mohamed said the two sides have agreed at the end of the meeting to exchange high level visits and to boost bilateral relations between the two countries.
