UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon offered support to Tunisia and its fight against terrorism, stressing that the UN fully understand repercussions of the Libyan conflict on Tunisia's security and economy.
Ban pledged to stand with Tunisia's economy and social development, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The UN chief made his remarks after meeting with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, adding that the UN support Tunisia's efforts in finding a political solution in Libya that complies with UN resolutions.

For his part, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim said the Bank will eventually approve Tunisia's reform plans and will allocate an annual sum of one billion dollars for the next four years.

Kim also expressed appreciation to Tunisia's efforts in the past five years, including its democratic transformation, praising as well the role of civil society in all this that coincided with the political and economic transformation.

Earlier, Ban and his accompanying delegation arrived in the Tunisian capital for a two-day visit, KUNA reported.
