The Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Anthony Lake thanked on Monday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his efforts to provide relief aid for Syrian refugees and displaced persons.
He said that His Highness the Amir's instructions were crucial in providing Syrian refugee children with vaccination against polio, drinkable water, and much needed humanitarian aid. The UNICEF Director stressed that the third donors' conference for Syria to be held in Kuwait will be also important to help the Syrian refugees still suffering from the crisis which hit their country in 2011
