Washington - Arab Today

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has noted the position of the State of Qatar calling for resolving the Gulf crisis through dialogue .

In an interview with Bloomberg news agency today and broadcast by US SAWA Radio, Tillerson said Qatar is ready to engage in a dialogue to resolve the crisis, but “there seems to be a real unwillingness on the part of some of the parties to want to engage.”

He said that “It’s up to the four Arab countries, which cut ties with Qatar, four months ago, to decide to engage in a dialogue with Doha, but he added by saying: “I do not have a lot of expectations for it being resolved anytime soon,” Earlier today, the US State Department announced in a press release posted on its website that the US Secretary of State will start tomorrow a foreign tour including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, India and Switzerland.(QNA)
